A photography exhibition to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Armistice of the Korean War.
Auditorium (Lower Ground Level)
Australia was the second country to decide to send troops to Korea, after the United States. A total of 17,164 Australian soldiers fought in the war. 1,216 were injured and 340 were killed.
This exhibition honours the service and sacrifice of Australian Korean War veterans and passes their legacy down to future generations. We remember not only the 11 veterans featured in the exhibition but also all 17,164 Korean War veterans who willingly risked their lives for the freedom of the Republic of Korea.
