A BAFTA Los Angeles® winner and Australian Academy Awards® nominee, The Telegram Man explores the impact of the Second World War on a close-knit Australian farming community. It focuses on the relationship between two mates under the microscope: a postie, well-liked by the townsfolk before the War, but shunned during the War when he must deliver unpleasant news, and a farmer, who struggles with the guilt of sending his two sons to the battlefield.
The film is currently streaming on SBS On Demand and stars Australian screen legends Jack Thompson, Gary Sweet and Sigrid Thornton.
